Good day, Berlin. I flew into Berlin yesterday and had a great evening with a close friend of mine. We had dinner at Papaya on Kantstraße, which was really good. As I got up at 4:15 yesterday morning, I was super tired in the evening and my eyes kept closing in the car. I woke up at Amandine‘s place (best hotel in Berlin!!) this morning and we had a nice breakfast together at Kaffeebar Berlin. I’ve already been there with Julia the last time we were here. I still need to prepare that recommendation for you. Therefore, a little glimpse of the lovely café up here today. Finally a new iPhone case Also, I’ve finally got a new iPhone case. #homeoflässig | The last ski weekend in Saalbach Hinterglemm
Saalbach Hinterglemm ski weekend. Happy weekend y’all! The sun is shining here in Berlin and I can’t wait to have lunch with my friends now. Yesterday’s event was very nice and I met a lot of new people and also blogger I’d been following since the day I started (hello Butiksofie!). More will follow next week! If you were following a bit on Instagram you saw that I was in Saalbach Hinterglemm last weekend. We were so lucky with the weather. The first days we were quite tired and took it slowly. The wellness area was just perfect for it! On our last days we had the prettiest weather. Perfect to hit the slopes once again. Unfortunately, the snow was already super mushy but there were some slopes facing north, which were still great. However, even on 2095 metres above sea level it was also super warm. Saalbach Hinterglemm is a huge winter sports area combining 270 kilometres of prepared piste. And it was indeed amazing! I should definitely show you some more ski/winter outdoor looks (probably next year as summer is already on its way). As I was raised up in the mountains I went skiing or boarding since I’m little. Obwohl wir zuhause in Südtirol von wunderbaren Bergen verwöhnt sind, war diese Aussicht etwas besonderes, im DAS.GOLDBERG, einem wunderbaren Wellness-Hotel bei Bad Hofgastein im Salzburger Land in Österreich. Und für eine schnelle Kneipp-Kur am Morgen bietet sich diese Badewanne auf der Terrasse an. Das belebt und die Haut hinterher so gut an. Herrlich! DAS.GOLDBERG Frühstücksangebot Das Frühstücksbuffet machte schon beim ersten Anblick gute Laune und hat wohl alles geboten, was der Magen begehrt, vom Süßen bis zum Salzigen, frische Brötchen und Säfte, Marmeladen, Müsli und Früchte … und es gab sogar Avocados! Sandwich Atelier. Had your mum also prepared delicious sandwiches for you for the school break? Mine were definitely always the best – a Southtyrolean Vorschlag bread or a small Ciabattina with ham – tomato – mayonnaise or mozzarella – tomato – rucola. Of course, always made with lots of love! When I was younger I used to eat the same sandwich again for my afternoon break. However, I associate the term sandwich with a big, unhealthy, American sandwich. Possibly because we don’t call it sandwich but simply Pausenbrot or belegtes Brot (ok, quite hard to explain that in English). I’ve realised the definition of sandwich when I was in France. It’s not une baguette avec jambon fromage but simply un sandwich avec… (add the beautiful French pronunciation here). Happy Easter to all of you! I hope you’re spending a beautiful weekend with your beloved ones! As the tradition goes, we’re celebrating Easter always on Easter Sunday. It’s my first Easter at home in a long time, which I’ll spend with the family. My aunt, uncle and cousins are coming over for the Easter Sunday Lunch. My mum will prepare us a wonderful lunch – Easter lamb chops and asparagus along with our traditional Easter bread. By the way, how beautiful are these Easter eggs? My mum used to paint the whole Max und Moritz antics from Wilhelm Busch on the Easter eggs. She painted them again this year and they turned out lovely. Now I’m off to help my mum! Market love | Makishi market in Naha, Okinawa
Sometimes articles go missing in my super long list of post drafts. Likewise, two looks from Okinawa still need to be published. But first here comes my visit of a market in Naha. Our last day on Okinawa ended in the biggest city, Naha. We took a little tour through the city and visited another shrine. Afterwards they took us to Makishi market, which is a public market with lots of small shops. Also, lots of food! I just love markets. In fact, I could spend a whole day just looking at all the different kinds of food. Also, the variety of fish is so great in Japan. However, buying fish on a local market may not be the cheapest. There are sorts of crustaceans, which cost around 200€. Well, they’re quite rare, which makes them so expensive. Also, because I’ve already swapped my winter boots with ballet pumps. Another forgotten outfit, which I shot with Julia in February. But with the blouse I was already ready for spring. I didn’t plan to shoot this look but the breakfast café was still closed. Time well spent I’d say! For a Sunday brunch I chose my silk blouse from Shein, which unfortunately isn’t the most eco-conscious blouse. However, I’ve gotten so many compliments for this tropical body suit. The only withdraw is that the waist line is way too high. Therefore, I can only wear it with high waist jeans. I didn’t have a black bag with me and borrowed Julia’s Michael Kors bag. I was surprised how light the bag was – the perfect daily bag. How do you like the look? Wish you a wonderful day!

Top of the top | WIESERGUT – 5* Design Hotel Saalbach-Hinterglemm
Wiesergut. To start with – probably the best hotel I’ve been to. My mum and I discussed at great length, whether we’ve ever stayed in a better hotel. Definitely not! See for yourself. This beautiful 5* Design Hotel Saalbach-Hinterglemm was highly recommended by friends of ours, which made us very curious. Before our departure we’ve got a welcoming email from the hotel with further information. While driving through Saalbach and Hinterglemm you’ll get the impression that the time has stopped there. The houses were very simple but with a couple of modern and newly built hotels in between. And then there was the driveway up to the WIESERGUT – the entry to another world. Simply beautiful! The WIESERGUT lies perfectly close to the Zwölferbahn-Skilift being an ideal connection to the 270km of ski slopes of Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang Skicircus. Even though it was already season closing we couldn’t miss one last ski day. The weather was way too perfect. Happy Birthday The Golden Bun! Where has the time gone? My baby turns 7 years this month and this needs to be celebrated.
